Living in Kahului Central Maui Hawaii

At the north end of Maui's central valley is the city of Kahului. Though it is the place of entry for a majority of tourists through the airport, it is a quiet corner of the island as far as tourist activities. Many of these stores are helpful for those day-to-day errand runs and daily living necessities that you might need to pick up. In Kahului, you can find stores such as Target, Home Depot, Costco, Lowe's, Walmart, and more.

On special days the farmers market is open as well as free live hula shows.

Take in a movie

Kahului has two of Maui's three movie theaters. This is a good way to get out of the heat for a little bit and enjoy some air-conditioning while catching up on the latest box office hits. One of the theaters is located at the Queen Kaahumanu Center.

Maui Arts and Cultural Center

The Arts and Cultural Center is a great place to take in live entertainment. It is a large theater hosting live shows including both national and international performers as well as local Maui performers.

The 1200-seat castle theater brings in top performers. There is also a smaller 250-seat venue. There are also some great pre-show-free hula performances as well as some outdoor concerts hosted at the venue.
