If you are interested in flowers, a visit to the lavender fields at Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm is a must. It is gorgeous and fragrant and lavender is said to have a calming aromatherapy effect.
Malolo Farm grows the most beautiful Protea flowers on the island. They offer weekly farm tours and it is a great space for photo shoots. This farm is known as a provider of the most unique Protea flowers in the world.
O'o farm is a Kula favorite it encompasses 8.5 acres of sustainable farmland owned and operated by Pacific'o restaurant in Lahaina. This farm is the source of organic produce for Chef McDonald.
Kula Botanical Gardens
The botanical gardens were established in 1968 and were first a private landscape architecture business that then evolved into a tourist destination that draws thousands of visitors every year. The botanical gardens are family owned and span over 8 acres giving the most beautiful walk amongst the most unique plants and rock formations. Stroll along the covered bridge or enjoy the waterfalls and Cue ponds as well as the aviary. There is even a gnu-carved tiki exhibit. There's so much to visually take at the gardens you may even find us a place of respite to come back to you again and again. The gardens also have a unique gift shop with botanical items as well as snacks.
Holy Ghost Catholic Church
This unique octagonal-shaped Catholic church in Kula is a historic landmark. This is the one and only octagonal-shaped building in the state. This unique and beautiful historic landmark was designed by father James Beissel and built-in 1894 by Portuguese workers and farmers in the area that moved to Kula to work on the sugar plantations. The unique architecture is said to be inspired by churches along the coastlines of Portugal. In 1983 the church was recognized as an official historical state landmark and is on the national register. Today it is a popular tourist attraction and still operates as an active Roman catholic church.
